Well, this sucks...

Here I was, about to add a little guide to my old blog, when I learn that apparently it no longer exists.  It was a free platform I uploaded it to, so I suppose I got what I paid for.  Yeah yeah, I know, this one's free too.  Maybe this time around I should make backups of the posts, eh?

Before firing up this blog I had thought of the backup plan of just producing notes under my Facebook profile, but apparently that's not a thing anymore, either.  I really need to post more... 😕

I'm not looking forward to re-making some of those old guides but I will, of course.  I know better:  the one time I don't think I need something I'll find a situation where it would've come in handy.

So you have this shiny new drive, but when you put it into your Windows PC and fire it up it seems that Windows doesn't want to work with it; it just displays it as a 'RAW' partition, regardless of what you do to try and correct the problem.  You've checked cables, you've re-seated the card (in the case of NVMe's), and you're about to pull it out to send it back for a replacement (or worse, write it up as a loss).
